Recently my CERT postings have brought a lot of attention to my site (government agencies) because of the Presidential email attack alert. Although sad that cyber-villans would stoop so low as to attack computers and networks based soley on the desire to see more footage of Obama winning the election, I see it all the time.
The alert was posted on my site within an hour of hitting my BlackBerry (November 6th, 2008). My site was visited by US-AIC’s Headquarters, The Pentagon, IKN (Intelligence Knowledge Network), The National Institute of Health, The US Patent & Trademark Office, Yale University, & FDC servers.net November 20th, 2008. Everyone was two weeks late. By then the attack would have already played out – the damage would have already been done.
